About ManCode Canada

An independent information site about men’s health, natural ingredients and dietary supplements, written for readers in Canada and the United States.

Why this site exists

Search for almost any men’s health supplement and you will find two kinds of page: sales copy dressed up as journalism, and clinical material written for practitioners rather than for the person deciding whether to spend $80. Very little sits in between.

ManCode Canada is the middle ground. The idea is straightforward: explain what a plant actually is, what has been studied about it, what a product is made of, how it is taken and what it costs — then put the order page one click away. Information first, decision yours.

The audience is adult men in Canada and the United States, with product coverage extending to Australia and the United Kingdom because supplement regulation differs enough between the four that generic advice serves none of them well.

What we publish

  • Health topic guides — prostate health, weight management, healthy aging, nutrition and lifestyle, and general wellness. What changes, what the evidence supports, and when to see a doctor.
  • Ingredient guides — eleven botanicals covered independently of any product: what the plant is, its traditional use, what research has examined, and safety considerations.
  • Supplement guides — individual products broken down against those ingredient guides, with country-specific regulatory context.

Who writes it

Guides are written and edited by the ManCode Canada Editorial Team. We are not doctors and we do not present ourselves as any. You will not find a photograph of a stranger in a white coat on this site with a name attached to it, because inventing a medical reviewer to borrow their authority is dishonest and we are not going to do it.

What we do instead is cite sources you can check: Health Canada’s product databases, the US National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health, NIDDK, the TGA and MHRA registers, and the published literature indexed on PubMed. Where a product carries our own editorial score, it is labelled as an editorial score with the criteria shown on the same /5 scale — never dressed up as a customer average.

Our editorial policy sets out the standard in detail.

How the site is funded

Through affiliate commission. Some links on product guides go to third-party order pages, and if you buy something after following one, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you.

That arrangement creates an obvious incentive, so it is worth being explicit about how we handle it. Affiliate links are marked as sponsored in the page code and disclosed in plain text next to the button, never buried in a footer. Ingredient guides are written independently of any product, which is why our saw palmetto guide states plainly that the larger trials did not confirm the early positive findings — even though saw palmetto is in the product we link to. If we could not write that sentence, the whole site would be worthless.

What this site is not

  • Not a shop. Nothing is sold here. No cart, no checkout, no payment details collected.
  • Not medical advice. Dietary supplements are not medicines. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Information on this page is for general education and does not replace advice from a doctor, pharmacist or other qualified health professional.
  • Not a manufacturer or distributor. We have no involvement in producing or shipping any product mentioned.
  • Not a review aggregator. We publish no star ratings and no customer testimonials, because we have no way to verify them.

Corrections

If something on this site is wrong, we want to know. Regulation changes, research moves, and links rot. Write to hello@mancodecanada.com with the page and the problem and we will look at it. Corrections to factual errors are made without argument.
